Privacy policy
Last updated: May 6, 2026. This policy explains what information may be processed when you use CryptoPass and how you can exercise your choices.
Summary
- The password generator is designed to operate in your browser. We do not intentionally collect the passwords you generate as part of providing the tool.
- Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies; in some regions Google's CMP may collect consent for ads separately. In production we use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated traffic.
- For contact options, see our Contact page.
Who is responsible
The data controller for this website is the person or organization operating the deployment. If you deploy this project yourself, you are responsible for updating this policy and contact details to match your legal entity.
Information we process
Essential operation
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may process technical data automatically, such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and requested URLs, for security and reliability. This processing is typically described in your hosting provider's documentation (for example, access logs).
Password generation
The generator uses your browser's capabilities to create random values locally. You should assume that any copy/paste action or browser extension could access content on your screen; that behavior is outside our control.
Local storage
Features such as password history may store data in your browser's local storage on your device. That data remains on your device unless you export it or clear site data.
Analytics
In production we load Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic, performance, and usage patterns. These tools are designed to minimize personally identifying data, but providers may still process technical identifiers. See Vercel's privacy documentation for details.
Advertising (including Google AdSense)
If we display advertisements, we may use third-party advertising partners such as Google. Those partners may use cookies and similar technologies to measure performance, cap frequency, and personalize ads where permitted by law. Google's use of advertising cookies is described in How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
You can manage certain ad settings through industry tools such as aboutads.info choices and Google's Ads Settings where available in your region.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on Google's tools for ad-related consent where applicable, on legitimate interests for security and fraud prevention where appropriate, and contractual necessity where we provide a requested service.
Retention
Server logs and analytics retention depend on hosting and vendor settings. Local storage retention is controlled by you through your browser settings.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children for marketing purposes.
International transfers
If you access the site from outside the country where servers are located, your data may be processed in other countries where hosting and advertising vendors operate. Those transfers may be governed by standard contractual clauses or other mechanisms required by law.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise rights, contact us using the details on the Contact page.
Changes
We may update this policy to reflect product changes or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
